Sound of Silver is finally here!

Releasing my own album has been a dream for a long time, and I'm extremely excited to share what we have created.

The record consists mostly of repertoire for tuba & piano, and the pianist I have brought with me on this project is Harald Ramm Haugland. We have played together for over 10 years as a duo, and as well as being a great friend of mine, he is also one of the finest musicians I have ever met. He is indeed an amazing pianist, but as you will see if you listen to the album, also a phenomenal composer. His Sonata for tuba and piano is undoubtedly one of the best compositions ever written for my instrument.

Deciding the repertoire for Sound of Silver was incredibly easy. "What are my absolute favorite pieces to play?" The answer: Everything on the record.

The original goal was to make the greatest tuba record ever. It is up to you, the listener, to decide for yourself if we achieved this goal or not. Enjoy.

Jørn Pedersen is the genius producer who has guided Harald and myself through this exciting, but challenging process. Thank you so much for the wonderful work you have done, and for your invaluable contributions to this project.

Bringing some of my low brass friends along on this journey was a lot of fun as well. Thank you for the outstanding playing Aksel Berg, Askil Okkenhaug, Runa Hermansen, and Aksel Vedi! The design of the epic cover is Mathe Rognerud.

To everyone involved in this project: Thank you so much. It has been a great pleasure. Thank you so much to FFUK and Norsk Tonekunstnersamfund for sponsoring this project.

Available on all streaming services.
